Chinese Ambassador visits Nallur Kovil
China’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong paid a visit to Nallur Kovil yesterday (16) during his official visit to North.
According to the media reports, the Ambassador and consular officials arrived at the Kovil at 10:00 a.m. dressed in traditional Hindu attire.
Meanwhile, to extend solidarity to fight current COVID-19 difficulties, the Ambassador donated food parcels, fishing gears and facial masks (total value of Rs. 20 million) to 2,500 fishman families in during his visit.
He started his first visit to the Northern Province from the Jaffna Public Library.
Laptops and books were donated to enhance the capacity building and enlarge the collection of the library on 15 December.
