Fatal accident in Kollupitiya: Driver arrested

The driver of a luxury car that was involved in a fatal accident in Kollupitiya on Saturday (10) has been arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this morning, the Police said.

The 26-year-old suspect was arrested by the immigration officers at the airport upon his arrival in the country from Dubai.

He fled the country to Dubai hours after the fatal accident that killed 58-year-old threewheel driver.

The Police had obtained international travel ban against the suspect after the accident.

He was taken to Kollupitiya police station after the arrest.
