Keheliya survives NCM

The three-day parliamentary debate concluded with the defeat of the no-confidence motion against Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.

The opposition’s motion failed as it was rejected by a significant majority of 40 votes in the parliament.

Out of the total votes, 113 lawmakers opposed the motion, while 73 were in favor. Consequently, Minister Rambukwella will continue in his role as the Minister of Health.
