AG Files Indictments Against Namal Rajapaksa Over Krrish Case

The Attorney General has filed indictments against SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa on charges of criminal misappropriation involving Rs. 70 million in connection with the controversial Krrish project.

The indictments, forwarded to the Colombo High Court, allege that Rajapaksa misappropriated the funds by receiving the sum from the Indian real estate company for the development of rugby in Sri Lanka.

The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) had earlier presented the case facts to the Fort Magistrate’s Court.

Rajapaksa was previously arrested as a suspect, produced before the court, and later granted bail.
