SLTB Chairman Ramal Siriwardena Resigns
Ramal Siriwardena has stepped down from his position as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB).
Appointed under the newly elected National People’s Power (NPP) government, Siriwardena was among the first officials to take leadership in state institutions.
His resignation marks the second high-profile departure from a state body, following Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Chairman Senesh Dissanayaka Bandara.
While he did not provide an official reason, Siriwardena told BBC Sinhala that his decision was based on personal reasons.
