Army soldier attached to a MP’s security has found dead

An army soldier who was attached to MP M. A Sumanthiran’s security has found dead in Wellawatta early today (04) morning.

Police Media Spokesperson, SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the soldier has died by suicide using his own firearm, at a land near to the MP’s house.

The deceased has been identified as a 22 year old soldier residing in the Walapane area.
