Asian Para Games: Samitha Dulan bags silver in men’s Javelin Throw

At the 2023 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China, Samitha Dulan from Sri Lanka secured the Silver Medal in the Men’s Javelin Throw (F64) event, achieving an impressive throw of 64.09 meters.

This accomplishment has elevated Sri Lanka’s medal count in the ongoing games to two Golds and one Silver.

In a remarkable performance on 24 October , Para-athlete Pradeep Somasiri clinched the Gold medal for Sri Lanka in the Men’s 1500m (T46) event with a remarkable time of 4:05.14 minutes.

Additionally, Nuwan Indika demonstrated his excellence by claiming the Gold medal for Sri Lanka in the Men’s 100m (T44) event, recording an impressive time of 11.63 seconds.
