Daisy Forrest Arrested by CID in Money Laundering Probe 

Daisy Forrest, the grandmother of Yoshitha Rajapaksa, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

She was taken into custody after arriving at the CID this morning to provide a statement regarding a money laundering investigation.  

Forrest was named a suspect following an inquiry into a Rs. 59 million joint account held with Yoshitha Rajapaksa. Investigators found that Rajapaksa was unable to provide a reasonable explanation for the source of the funds.
