Special Security Measures Implemented for Easter Sunday

Sri Lanka Police has announced that special security arrangements will be in place for Easter Sunday religious observances.
Easter services are scheduled to be held on April 18 and 20, and special police security will be deployed to ensure the safety of worshippers.
Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasooriya has instructed all provincial Senior DIGs, SSPs, and OICs to strengthen security near churches, especially those expected to attract large crowds.
Additional security will also be provided to churches where major services are planned. The Police, Special Task Force (STF), and tri-forces personnel will be deployed to support the security program.
